Silenseed was founded by Prof. Eithan Galun, MD, the director of the Goldyne Savad Institute for Gene Therapy in Hadassah Medical Center, and Dr. Amotz Shemi, previously SVP Technologies in the stent company Medinol and CEO of ColorChip.

The company is supported by highly qualified advisors, part of them also investors in the company, including Prof. Michael Sela, co-inventor of the Copaxone® (TEVA) and Erbitux® drugs, Prof. Ruth Arnon, co-inventor of the Copaxone®, Dr. Shmuel Cabilly, inventor of antibody processes (Genentech), Prof. Abraham Domb from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, a world renown figure in drug delivery technologies and co-inventor of the FDA approved Gliadel™ implant for brain tumor, Dr. Esther Pirak, developer of the Erbitux® drug, Dr. Amol Bapaye, Head of the Gastroenterology Department at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center in Pune, India and Dr. Yoav Mintz senior surgeon from Hadassah and a Clinical fellow in Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Dept. of Surgery UC, San Diego.
